We went through the, Where did we get it thing, and never did come up with anything. According to Andy, we may have both picked it up long ago, prior to even knowing each other (married 25 years), from two different sources. He told us that a large percentage of people may never find the source of their exposure. Since starting chelation my hair arsenic level has risen, but according to others on this site, it may be that I am mobilizing the arsenic, hence the reason for higher hair level. If you would like to ask more detailed questions regarding our personal experience with arsenic, either on or off list, feel free. I will say we've had our well water tested and it was below 10ppb, I have severe MCS, so we have not used any chemicals in or out of the house in 25 years, nor have we purchased any new furniture because with MCS that is almost impossible. If you are interested in having your drinking water tested, DDI has a reasonbly priced water test you could use as a screening tool (no script necessary for drinking water test). Our test with DDI came back 10ppb, so we then had well water retested at a EPA certified testing lab. It was then 7ppb. We don't even drink our well water and never have, so this would not explain our toxic levels of arsenic. You may find after investigating your current environment that you are never going to know where it came from. I almost died. Thank goodness my country doctor believed in natural medicine working along with modern meds to help me recover. Not sure how you test clothing for arsenic... even the " natural dyed " stuff I would be suspect - arsenic IS " natural " !!!! QU: Is there an easy,quick test method for arsenic, like the lead test where you put indicator drops on a Q-tip and rub? I found out that so many of my ordinary glassware, NOT my *fancy* stuff, is where I found the lead - esp my wine glasses, oops!!!! I have an affinity with Dr Hulda 's work and was simply repeating something I read from her books. In another place she suggests we get arsenic is from 'laundry bleach' that is added to most of our waters to 'purify' them, along with a host of other toxins. Food grade NSF bleach do not contain these pollutants and that is what should be used. Is your drinking water from the tap and was that tested? I haven't researched it carefully as to whether the amount is enough to make a difference to someone who eats a lot of chicken or whether eating free range chickens makes a difference. Guest guest Posted May 19, 2006 Report Share Posted May 19, 2006 There is arsenic in pesticides and wood preservatives.. watch out for children playing on monkey bars made of arsenic-- just like the clothing story the aresenic rubs of on hands very,very easily.A TV show showed them rubbing a peice of material once over the wood.THey had the materisal analyzed--It had a huge amount adn dangerous level of arsenic!!THose pesticides travel easily in the wind.. You can get it in any natural foods section of most supermarkets or in whole foods stores that sell free range meats.
