Digital thermometers, unless they are basals for ovulation, aren't gonna be as accurate as you need... but right now we'll work on what is more important.. the Candida, getting it controlled and then concentrate on the thyroid stuff.

Right now I'm leaning more toward the Candida throwing things off.. I understand you've got a pretty nasty form of it... so it's got to be first priority... as long as your body is fighting that you can't do a heck of a lot with the other stuff.

I'm not really well versed in Candida... I know it's a normally occurring yeast type bacteria in our bodies, that at healthy levels is just fine. But if it gets out of control and over multiplies it can cause major problems. Mostly, I understand, it's a female thing and tends to attack moist areas of the body, mouth and vaginal areas.. but it can spread beyond that and that's when it can be even more of an issue.

I need some experts jumping in here with this... my knowledge base on this is really sketchy.....

I understand that increasing acidity, introduction of healthy bacteria and the elimination of the foods that the yeast thrive on are really important... Yogurt helps with the healthy bacteria and the pH (acidity), so eating it is good... eliminating sugar..... and flour (??), no no.... yeast containing products, like breads, etc.... as the food sources, reduce it's ability to multiply.

Here's how I picture what is happening in your body:

You are trying to get your house all neatened up and pretty to meet your future inlaws. You are working like crazy but the windows are busted out and there is a nasty wind storm howling outside... until you get the windows fixed so that they can be closed and keep out the wind and the dirt you'll never get everything dusted and swept up and in place to look nice, no matter how long you try or how hard you work.

The sooner that we can get those windows fixed.. the sooner you can concentrate on the house looking the way that you want it too.

The sooner we get this candida under control and down to the normal safe levels.. you'll never get the thyroid and adrenal stuff sorted out and in order.

It's gonna be an effort... more on your part then ours... but we're gonna help the best we can.....

Ready?

Okay.. your questions.... Bone Density is just a good idea to give you a baseline... so that if problems come up down the road you have something to refer back to.

Folks that are under stress and dealing with funky digestive systems and such have difficulties absorbing nutrients and use of a lot of the 'stress vitamins' dealing with this... the B vitamins are in this categorie....

Ferritin is storage iron. Lots of folks that are hypo, in part cuz of the slow processing in their systems and not so terrific diet end up with low iron in reserve. Blood levels may or may not be okay.. but you need some in storage too.. to keep you healthy... many of us need to add extra iron to compensate for this.. but unless you test first to see where you are at, it's NOT a good idea to be taking the extra iron.

You can talk to us, Theresa.. we're here to help the best that we can..... over 800 of us here now.... ain't that just awesome??? HUNDREDS of folks that understand.. and care!

I've answered the other two emails already.... I think you are understanding better that the Candida needs to be addressed first..... then go into battle with the thyroid issues....

You'll get back to us after the doc, right?

I usually kind of pick through my messages by subject and answer because my

Outlook Express is not ordering these the way I want them. I have got them

in descending order, but it seems like they're still all out of order. Wish

I knew how to fix that.
