Hi Deana,

I hope the migraines haven't been plaguing you again. I went on a two week

vacation to London and wouldn't mind moving back there. I have a lot going

on at the moment and sadly my stress levels are high which doesn't help my

health.

Hi , Unfortunately they are and my back too. In fact I have not

been writing much just reading because I am in a major flare up and have

migraines and I hope you felt well enought to enjoy yours days in London.

I do remember now that you were going, but had forgotten and assume when

you were not on you were having a rough time. thanks for asking and I am

glad you are back and hope everyone is feeling well in the group today.

There are lots of new people I have not even said hi to so welcome I have

had a hard time keeping up. Love Deana

Deana,

Well, did you make it to church today? I tried, and didn't make it. How do

you feel now?

I was doing pretty well until this morning. Hubby took our oldest son and a

few of his friends camping this week-end, so it was just our 8 year old and

me. Friday night, , our 8 year old spent the night with a friend, and I

went over to a friends house for dinner, and we also watched two movies. I

didn't get to bed until nearly 3:00 in the morning. Yesterday, I wasn't too

bad, but decided to go out and weed for over half an hour, which didn't make

me feel to good, but I felt that if I just got to bed early last night, that

I'd be O.K. Early in the evening last night, I went out to feed the horses,

which is no big deal, but one of our horses started to eat, then backed up,

then acted like he was going to go down. I quickly got the halter on him,

and started to walk him, (I thought he might have colic, which can be VERY

serious). I ran inside to call the vet, call friends that I knew that would

know about what to do, etc. Wouldn't you know it, no one was around! I

vigorously walked Jerry for over an hour, and by then, he seemed a little

bit better. I was finally able to talk to the vet, and she felt that he'd

be O.K. Whew! I did get to bed at a decent time, but by this morning, my

body felt like it had been in a serious accident, and the Mac truck won! I

got up, and we were 15 minutes from leaving for church (I was

completely ready), and decided that since we drive 30-40 minutes one way to

church, that it wouldn't be such a great idea! was great. He loves

going to church (me too!), and he helped get me back into bed. I'm feeling

much better now, compared to this morning! The guys will be back in a few

hours, and the only thing that I have to do is feed the horses and feed

and I! Works for me!

I have a question for everyone: Do you start typing, and find that the word

you were planning on typing comes out a different word? I used to be an

Administrative Assistant when I used to work, back before was born. My

typing skills weren't too bad, and now it's like I'm thinking about the word

I'm going to type next, and a different word gets typed! Like my brain and

hands aren't working together! My husband was sitting in the rocker near

the computer one day, and noticed that my typing skills aren't near what

they used to be. I'm just curious if I'm going nuts, or just what the deal

is here.

Two new things happening around here! One, my husband got a new horse. He

is a Paso Fino, and if any of you like to ride horses, but don't because of

the pain it causes, try one of these! They are a gaited horse, which means

that their walk is completely different than other horses, kind of like

being in a rocking chair! I rode him for 1/2 hour when we were 'test

riding' him, and when I got off, I wasn't in pain from riding at all! The

problem is, these guys aren't cheap, and now I want one! Maybe one day! I

told my husband that I'll probably want to ride him too! The only reason we

were able to afford him, was because we know the gal that breeds these

horses, and this was one that she bought because the rider didn't get along

with him, and he is not show quality. He likes men better, which is great,

since my husband is a man! Works for me!

Also, next month, we are getting a puppy! We've had Great Pyrenees for

about six or seven years now, and love them. Our first two came from

rescue, which means that they were abused or abandoned, and were in need of

a home. Something we didn't know at the time, is that many breed clubs will

foster and find new homes for these dogs. Both of them lived happily with

us, but for far too short a time. They are both gone now. We have a female

Great Pyrenees, Nikita, who is almost 2 years old now! She is SO beautiful!

We found a fantastic breeder in the state of Washington (we live in

Colorado), and are getting a male (the name Barnabus sounds like the top

pick at the time!). No, we aren't breeding, we just love them! Anyway, I

think that maybe some of these stresses have added to my feeling poorly

today. The airline that was to ship the pup said that due to the heat, they

wouldn't, and my friend in California, who was going up there to fly the pup

home, didn't know what to do. As it turns out, on the last day of our

vacation in California, she and I are flying up to Portland, renting a car,

and driving him home!

Lots of stuff happening around here, but it's all a lot of fun too! Sorry

for going on and on, just kind of waiting for hubby and son to come home, so

I can start laundry! Yippee! Our oldest son is going to church camp

starting tomorrow, so he needs clean clothes!

In the words of Eyeore: " Thanks for listening! "

I find I type a lot of either similar words or just am like one letter

off. Like, if I type the word thin, I often stick a g on there so it

looks like thing, or thought instead of though. I also will put tope

instead of type. Some days it seems worse than others.

By the way, quite some horse stories! Glad to hear eveything turn out

ok with them (just typed an e onto them).

I don't think that you have to worry that this has anything to do with the

fibro; heck, I do this all the time (ok, just typed " tyme " ) and I don't have

fibro (I'm on this list because of my husband, who does).

I spend all day at my computer, and I have noticed I do it more often (adding

letters and typing wrong letters) more when I'm tired. That's when I know I

need to take a break; usually when I come back, the problem is gone.

I just noticed that this has gotten much worse for me since Feb. when my

last major flare started. I think it's just my brain isn't sending the

right signals all of the time, or maybe it's just that my fingers aren't

listening properly. Anyway, I don't make a big deal out of it, I know

my brain isn't always working just the way it should (or the signals

along my nerves aren't) and it's the one thing that I've just accepted

as " that's the way it is " and don't sweat the load.

I think the reason it's bothered me so much is that I used to do this for a

living! I'll also find myself hesitating as I type, trying to think of what

letter comes next. I know this has to somehow be related, because, like I

say, this is totally new for me.

I'm expecting the Dr. to call back. I called yesterday to see if this

numbness in my thighs means anything. My hands have been going numb all

morning. Drives me nuts!

Enough ranting, our youngest son wants to play Rummy, so I must be off!

I can see how it would really bother you if it's what you use to do for

a living!! I know my last day at work one of the professors came in and

wanted me to explain some electronics to him. I just knew with the way

my brain was feeling, I was going to get in there, and I'd wouldn't

remember a thing let alone explain it to him. So I explained I was

quitting and why I couldn't help him. He was stunned but nice. It is

terrifying to not be able to think of what you've known for years.
