My sister takes it and she said she's been sleeping better at night and feeling better during the day. I do have trouble sleeping at night sometimes (takes me forever to get to sleep, and I wake up more than does!!!) and sometimes I feel like I'm slipping into a bit of depression (only lasts a day or 2 at a time. I was diagnosed with depression when was about 5 mos old and I was in school...It cleared up without any help really...I just cut out some things in my life that were causing me stress!) Anyway my big question is if it's ok to take while Breastfeeding, I've heard conflicting answers!! Guest guest Posted March 26, 2000 Report Share Posted March 26, 2000 , It is safe to take while breastfeeding although my recommendation is to find a good homeopath and get a constitutional treatment as it is much more effective and has a much broader scope of effect. If that isn't an option than St. 's Wort is certainly safe and works well for many nursing mothers. BTW it isn't a homeopathic remedy it is an herbal remedy.
