Guest guest
Hi , I just joined and am about to start my first chelation. I am using NDF Plus and Liverlife. I see a lot of people here are using ALS and DMSA. Am I in good company here - anyone using NDF? Or is this not a good group for me? I am looking into having my amalgams replaced but lots of people I know say it is not worth having done if they are very old. I am 51 years old, recently went on thyroid medication and do not feel I am improving a lot. I feel that mercury and heavy metals poisoning may be the smoking gun in not getting better. I have no energy, it is very hard for me to get anything done and I have lost whatever joi de vie I ever had. I am not doing this under doctor's supervision either. Any advice, thoughts? Also, how often do you do the chelation? Do you supplement with the good trace minerals between rounds? So many questions, sorry, I'm a little nervous about it. I just want to feel better. > >

Guest guest
Hi . I used NDF for a couple of weeks and tossed the bottle! I had terrible side effects and felt it did more harm than good. I had my teeth with amalgams removed and wear a partial now. Most of my fillings were over 30 years old. I had cavities under some of them that I was unaware of until I was diagnosed with mercury toxicity and had my teeth examined for amalgam replacement. I don't think you're too old to get the metal out. > > Hi , > > I just joined and am about to start my first chelation. Am I in good company here - anyone using NDF? Guest guest
Thanks , I was wondering what the bad side effects were that people had using the NDF. My fillings are at least 30 yrs old also. Plus I had the usual round of childhood vaccines to add to the mercury load. > > Hi . I used NDF for a couple of weeks and tossed the > bottle! Guest guest
Hi . I have MS and the NDF exacerbated my symptoms. I was sick for over a week. Guest guest
This is truly horrifying . Sounds like too much mercury was liberated and not carried away like it should have been. Is that your take on it? The mad as a hatter syndrome. Turns out a great grandfather of mine was a hat maker, probably died of mercury poisoning. Thank you so much for the heads up on this. Do you think the ALA has helped clean up the problems from the NDF? Did your friend ever use the ALA after her experience? > > > I was wondering what the bad side effects were that people had using > > the NDF. > > > I described my reaction here: > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/message/143809 > > " I used NDF plus. Guest guest
> What her doctor > said was that he ruled out all the other possibilities. Ugh, how many times have I heard that? " Well, we've ruled out xyz based on the (flawed, false-negative- producing) test we did " . Differential diagnosis only works if you're 100% certain something isn't to blame. The whole diagnosis process gets my goat anyway. Doctors only know how to rule out things they've heard of, but don't know how to test for things they don't know about (e.g. Mercury, fungal infections, intestinal permeability, yada, yada). So you spend months (and potentially thousands of dollars/pounds) searching for something.. and find nothing. As a result, their diagnosis is... you're perfectly well! There's a story that goes as follows (paraphrased from a website... I can't remember where): A man goes to collect his car from a car park. But it's really dark in the car park, and he accidentally drops his car keys, and can't find them. A doctor shows up. The man says, " Help, I dropped my car keys and can't find them. " The doctor looks around and says, " Well, there's a street light over there... let's look for them there. " " But I dropped them in this dark spot over here...? " says the man. " Yes, but I can't see anything there, " replies the doctor, " so I'd rather look over there in the light, where I can see. " " But I know they're over here somewhere! " says the man, dumbfounded. Nevertheless, the doctor spends twenty minutes going over the area under the streetlamp with a fine-tooth comb. To no-one's surprise, the keys aren't found. " Your keys aren't in this car park " says the doctor, handing the man a bill for $200. The doctor gets into his own nice warm comfortable car and drives back to his house. The man walks home. Is that your take on it? " My answer was not clear, so I will reword it. I know that my reaction was definitely from the NDF doing something to my brain. I would guess that the cilantro component moved mercury into my brain. My friend is convinced that her reaction was caused by the NDF. Not only is she convinced, but her doctor, (who was not the one who suggested that mercury was the cause of the illness, nor the one who suggested amalgam removal, nor the one who suggested using NDF) by the time he finished all the testing that he could do, was suspecting that mercury/NDF was involved in her reaction. If there is something that I haven't clarified please email me direct.
