Guest guest
CONNIE! Glad to hear you have things worked out or at least slowed down in your life. You have been missed! I know that feeling of " couldn't even be funny " I'm always the one with the sick joke and my hubby knows I'm feeling really bad when I don't come back with a sarcastic comeback to stuff. Ya know you are stressed when that happens. With as many e.mails you addressed in your e.mail you must have read thru a bunch! Good on you for that. Welcome back and we look forward to your posts. Guest guest
Hey Connie! Welcome back! How wonderful to hear from you. I am glad things have calmed down for you. Now we just need to work on getting back. Yes, you read correctly that I am on Cellcept, starting week 4 today in fact. It definitely puts a damper on my appetite, and I have some days when the nausea is a bit much, but tolerable. My initial lab tests indicate it may be working at least on the creatinine front. My creatinine is down to 2.4, but my clearance is still 23 so I am too low for comfort there. The only thing I am not sure of is my protein levels. Cy, as the resident expert on ratios, what does a 2.75 ratio indicate? Since my Neph has only recently started doing ratios, I am not sure what that would be equivalent to in a 24 hour. I just know that " normal " is 0.19 so I am assuming that is not desirable. I am waiting for my Neph to call me back for the answer on that. I will get another set of labs next month, and if it seems to be holding me steady, I will continue, but if not, I am ready to abandon the Cellcept. We really missed you and are thrilled to have you back Connie. Are you feeling good these days?

Guest guest
YEA LAURA! Let us know when you get your next labs back, OK? Isn't your Creatinine down from around 3.0? Wow, that is great. Would they anticipate that your clearance would improve also? Did you find anything out about the ratios? I guess I don't really understand rations since my Neph doesn't do that. Could you or Cy give me the laymen's overview on this? Right now, I'm still holding my own. Since I just recently changed Neph, and he changed my meds I honestly am feeling less tired. I really think that my old Neph was not helping me by over-mediating me. With the old Neph, I was taking 4 different blood pressure meds and one of them being 50 mg of Altace. I felt " bone tired " as they say around here. When I saw my new Neph and we discussed the amount of Altace that I was taking he told me that he didn't have 1 other patient on that kind of regiment. So far, I am very happy that I decided to make the switch. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Thanks for asking... Any word from and how she's doing? She's had her share of illness too and she is missed from this board. Let us know your results after you go to the lab... Connie Re: Did ya miss me? Hey Connie! Welcome back! Guest guest
Do we actually have room for more than one gigolo on this sight? I thought Pierre was the only gigolo around here! Happy Birthday Dave and by the way, don't take your studies to seriously, even for the sake of the cause, you may fall asleep, your face falls in your beer and you drown on your Birthday. I can see the headlines now...man accidentally dies while trying to drown himself with beer. When I wrote this, it reminded me of once when a co-worker fell asleep at her desk. Guest guest
I remember being told never to sit with head-in-hand like that.... for silly reasons like it was unladylike. They never told me it could be life-threatening! Can you imagine that claim being litigated? I can just envision the atty explaining what his client was doing! Quel hoot!
