Guest guest
Welcome back Fran and congrats on your soon to be baby! I have been toying with an idea about notifying a news station that would really do a good story on rosacea...what about SheTV on Discovery health? They say you can directly email them with your ideas...if we all did this perhaps they would do a good job of it....and I think we need to mention that we don't want them doing an ad for gladerm products! If we mentioned Dr. Nase's website and book and Dr. Sy and all her work on special products...who knows? What does everyone think? Guest guest
Darlene, I commend you for wanting to contact a news reporter to do an honest, maybe even revealing piece on cea. I don't want to be a wet blanket, but consider the following: Even the best health reporters rely on physicians and major medical organizations or teaching hospitals for their information...so they would be tapping into the very sources which have frustrated so many of us! This does not necessarily constitute bad journalism, it's just not what would be helpful to us. What we really need is a Stossel-type of investigative report focusing on the story behind the story. But then, you'd have to convince someone like that that such a story is worthwhile. I am skeptical (and yes, perhaps a bit cynical) that they would. Good Luck! Guest guest
The idea is to get a -Stossel type person interested. I've seen a lot more boring topics on these programs. I'm not losing hope - if I were to lose hope, I may as well stop posting. It is so important to stay postive about a cure - for me, this is what keeps me going. Thanks for the feedback BADAMS6663@... wrote: Darlene, I commend you for wanting to contact a news reporter to do an honest, maybe even revealing piece on cea. Guest guest
Hi Darlene - Thanks so much for the positive feedback and the warm welcome. This is a great lead! I know that we can push this because we have a lot of numbers. I'm going to make a list of good suggestions and then come up with an action plan. All other suggestions welcomed! Guest guest
Beth makes an excellent point. I would be in favor of waiting to do anything until Dr. Nase's book gets published. He has just the right clout to make the medical community listen. Matija > Darlene, > > I commend you for wanting to contact a news reporter to do an honest, maybe > even revealing piece on cea. Guest guest
And maybe when Dr. Nase's book comes out - HE can/would be the perfect " scientific " mind to add credibility to what we are going through! And it would be publicity for his book. Patty Subject: Re: SUPPORT GROUP TO PUSH AWARENESS/ CURE > The idea is to get a -Stossel type person interested. It is so important to stay postive about a cure - for me, this is what keeps me going.
