But I suppose it is necessary for you to criticize me for taking time

to see what an addiction treatment scam search would reveal. Rather

trivial thing to be criticized for. You didn't answer my second

question and tell me what I should be doing with my time. Don't

bother, I won't be reading your posts any longer.

How do you define obsessive Sparky? Just because people are expressing themselves in heated and what might appear to you to be negative ways doesn't make said expression obsessive or negative for that matter.

I don't have to do anything to have a satisfying life. Anyone who tells me otherwise is usually trying to sell me something I don't want. In your case below it seems to be your outlook on this issue. I've got my own thanks anyway.

Tommy's search was important for several reasons. I've been in discussions with steppers where they actually lauded the efficacy of AA based on the site count returned from a search engine. When you're faced with that mentality it's nice to throw something like Tommy's search right back at em. Tommy says he conducted the search because he was curious. Does that make Tommy's search an indication of obsessing? Come to think on it is it really any different from the initial search string I entered into search engines some time ago which lead me to AAdeprogramming and eventually to this list? I'm in the definitely not column simply because I've corresponded with Tommy for quite some time and as far as myself I'm in the no column because .... hey it's me and I'm definitely biased where I'm concerned.

If we are to move forward in life, we gotta stop reacting to the past and and move forward with the knowledge we have gained from our experiences in pro-action

>I have been called a liar and worse by Jim Shirk

>(stepper counselor from Washington State) who claims it's impossible

>for fraud like this to happen because " there are always people

>auditing the records of licensed treatment facilities " blah blah.

Hey Rita

Jim Shirk has simulataneously claimed that AA membeship is not

increased by coercion because ppl leave afer the coerced period, and

also that coerion is justified because it gets ppl into recovery (and

hence AA members presumably). He also indicated that he would use his

influence in AA to make their triennial surveys secret so that they

could not be " misused " by those who quote their terible retention

rate. This appears to now be the case.
