Guest guest
Hi Jon, actually our lender is doing pretty well by us with the closing costs. And yeah, it is pretty late ... and it seems each time you change lenders there's a whole other list of problems! Babette Re: Housing Problems Babette,I'm always hearing about places doing this stuff with no closing costs. Is there a lender out there willing to do that for you? I know it's a long shot and late in the game.Best wishes,Jon

Guest guest
Thanks Lynz! Our mortgage guy is really working on this ... so, I continue to pray that it will all work out!! Babette Re: Housing Problems I'm so sorry to hear this Babette. Someone dropped the ball because they should have told you of this "outstanding debt" prior to the day before closing. Most mortgage companies will do whatever they can do get your loan to go through. It could also be that someone with a similar name as your husband's somehow got their bad debt on his credit file. If this is the case, then an affidavit at closing should take care of it and you can take it up with the credit bureau after. I'm sure the title company/mortgage company will do what they can do get the closing done asap. I hope everything works out for you! Sending positive vibes your way...LynzBernadette wrote:> Hi all ...> > I'm very frustrated and very sad at the moment. We just got the call ~ the day before closing ~ that we might not in fact get the loan! Apparently something else has come up (an old debt that Jeff was unaware of) and it seems that unless we pay that off, we won't get the loan. Of course, if we pay that off ... we won't have the money to pay for closing costs, etc. It's a nice catch 22 and I'm just sick to death of it all. I just don't think I can take much more of this. I left work early because I just couldn't deal. Why didn't they see this sooner? The mortgage guy is going to try to work something out ~ but, it doesn't look hopeful. If anyone can spare a prayer ... I'd be very appreciative. > > Hugs,> Babette
