Guest guest
, I absolutely love your husband's idea for the final helmet decoration, how hilarious! Wow, only a week more, I know you all must be so excited!! Will you be doing an exit cast? How would you say Jack's rounding has been overall now that his treatment is nearly finished? Please update us if he graduates early, Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) --- In Plagiocephaly , " pennylac " <pennylac@y...> wrote: > We just got back from our weekly appointment at CT and Jack has just > one more week left -- maybe even less if he keeps growing like he has > been. Guest guest
Thanks for your post !! That was very sweet and I feel the exact same way. It seems like yesterday when I was faced with the begining of Plagio, and finding this site was a blessing in my book! There's no one better to talk to about Plagio than the parents that are going through it with you! Great news on Jack by the way and I hope that you do decorate the helmet that way!! That's a cute saying!! Congrats on his sitting up too! That was the funnest thing to see them sitting by hiself!! Big Boy!! Guest guest
Christie, His first quote didn't use Jack but a bad word ... I said don't think I can put that word on his helmet. So then he came up with the idea of Jack. We will be doing an exit cast. After hearing 's story of regression, which I know only 1% regress, I want that reassurance that I can go in and see if his head has changed. And he did well with the first casting so I think he can handle another one. His rounding has been amazing. We did repo from his diagnosis at 2 months to when he got the helmet at 4 months. And we saw improvement from that. So I highly encourage parents, even if they decide to band, to try to repo as much as possible, no matter the age. He was young so it was easy or rather easier. I think at first I was kinda like, okay we are going to band so I don't have to worry about it anymore and then kicked myself after a few minutes saying anything I can do to improve him before we band is less time in the band. He was hard to repo at night but for the rest of the time we tried really hard to keep him off the spot and tons of tummy time. Now I can't keep him on his back. He immediately rolls to tummy. I think it cut down his time somewhat from a possible 8 weeks to 6. (I have pics posted from his initial consult to the day we casted under Jack so you can see the improvement from repo there.). At the mid way point I said to my husband " If this is as good as it gets, I am happy. " So we just have a little corner in the back and behind the ears and I am also hoping for some post band rounding as well. The ears have really improved, not perfect but so much better. --- redlocks2003 <redlocks@...> wrote: > , > > I absolutely love your husband's idea for the final > helmet > decoration, how hilarious! > > Wow, only a week more, I know you all must be so > excited!!
