Guest guest
There is no cure for rosacea yet. I found out about photoderm when I was researching rosacea on the net. I came across Dr. Bitter in California. He claims to have pioneered the process. He calls it a photofacial. Anyway, I had 5 treatments with him last year and it did seem to help reduce redness. Some people say it does not work for them. Photoderm uses a laser to remove damaged blood vessels that cause rosacea. These will come back so you need to continue treatments. Since this is not a cure, it is essential that you continue your lifestyle changes regardless of how much it helps. If lifestyles changes are not practiced, you'll be right back where you began. I've been pregnant for most of this year so I have not been back - fortunately the pregancy has been good for my skin. I plan on continuing photoderm after I give birth. I will use a dr. in NJ that was recommended by someone in this group. I've run out of the frequent flyer miles I used to go see Dr. Bitter on the West Coast. If you tell the group where you live someone may be able to recommend a derm in your area that does photoderm. Fran sharp@... wrote: I want to know peoples experience with photoderm. Guest guest
What type of process did your derm use? Was it laser? Anyone have a good derm in South Florida (Broward/Palm Beach County)? Thanks... Rosemary
Guest guest
, The $3,500 cost was mentioned by someone who, in addition to having their face treated, is also having their neck and chest areas treated [i believe Dr. Bitter Jr is doing her treatments]. I am having treatments done by Dr. Bitter Sr., who is charging $2,300 for five sessions to treat the face (a 6th session will be 'free' at my request if I feel it is necessary). The price I was quoted does increase if one decides to have single sessions or decides to pay-as-you-go. Hope this helps. Dan President Responsible Metal Fab, Inc. 1256 N. I think someone mentioned about $3500 in an earlier post-is that about right? It just seems so expensive and financially, I just couldn't afford that right now but I'm starting to get desparate as my rosacea is not responding too much these days. Does insurance usually cover it? Also, can anyone recommend a place that does treatments in the Cleveland, OH area? (I can travel within a couple hour radius so maybe in Pittsburgh or Colombus too.) Guest guest
Dear , Prices must vary greatly from office to office. The cost in our office, which is in Atlanta Georgia, is $1400 for five treatments. Good luck. Durlacher RN Palmer wrote: > Hi.
