Guest guest
Hi Connie, I hope that my experiance doesnt put you off, I have learnt that in my case that the procedure was only just succesful. All the problems I have had can be put down to the extended time I was having surgery 2 hrs in total and the fact that they could not find a good placement for the canuala. Its a new procedure at this hospital and I was one of the first recipiants so it seems they havnt got it down to fine art yet and I payed the price I hope things are diferant for you, I am sure it will be. For me things are greatly improved now.. Mark --- Connie Sink wrote: > Hi Mark, > I enjoyed reading about your canula insertion. I'm > sorry that the > experience was painful though. Guest guest
Mark I'm happy to hear things are looking up for you! I truly admire your ability to keep your sense of humor about all of this. It's a good thing to be able to do that in the midst of pain and having your flesh munched on by nasty little buggers. Thanks for posting all you have about your surgery and recovery. Eventhough it's been a bit of a horrific time for you, your reserve shines thru in your posts and helps give others strength in dealing with their own troubles. ) I'm so glad you are doing better. Guest guest
Yikes it is good to hear from you. Don't apologize for the whinging... I wouldn't exactly call your previous posts whinging; moreover, you were faced with a life threatening situation that needed to be taken seriously (rather than with the false drama that the " flesh eating virus " doc seemed to give). It's great to hear that things have stablized. I think the credit is to you for being so assertive in your your own care. I'm glad you got a chance to see a more positive face of the medical machine... It does exist, but there are days it's just hard to find. Guest guest
Man, Mark! I'm sorry you have had such a difficult time with the start of the PD, but glad to see that things are starting to look up. After you get used to it, it's not that bad. Guest guest
Oh Mark, Ugh! now a rash...I'm still recovering from the total body rash that hit me as a drug reaction back in the end of Jan. Do they have you on any sulfa based antibiotics? They have a tendency to cause drug reactions in the form of rashes. I hope yours doesn't get as bad as mine was...mine ended up like total body sunburn, painful and then peeled for weeks on end. Even my eyes peeled, it was so very fun. I still have very patchy red blotches on my legs that the docs say should clear up in another month or so. (however that's what they have been saying since Jan! lol. ah well.....) Hope they find out what is causing yours quickly so it can get cleared up.
