Guest guest
You know what Debbie, make the appointment to see her (it's not too far from you) and take your husband. I know he's very against the banding so any questions or concerns he would have would be answered for him. I think hearing it from a doctor that specializes in plagiocephaly would carry more weight then getting the info from us (not that we aren't the most informed group mind you ;-) It's just that some people do not feel satisfied unless they hear it from a doctor. I think he will be SO impressed with the evaluation your daughter will get that he will get on board with what ever you decide you want to do. Like I said before, they spent 2 hours with our son. A physical therapist was there to make sure he was developing physically for his age. She checked his muscle tone, range of motion and watched him as he played to check his mobility. Brielle may do just fine with all the hard work your doing with repo but wouldn't it be nice to know for sure? When you call to get your daughter's appointment, if they tell you it'll be several months, leave a message for Dr. Trovato and she'll get her in sooner. That's what I did. Initially they couldn't get us in till mid Aug. I didn't want to wait that long because of my son's age so she got us in within 2 weeks. You know in your heart what's best for your daughter and you need to follow your gut. It's hard when you don't have the support of your husband but I think you owe it to yourself and your daughter to get the answers you seem so desperately to want to get. In a few years your going to look back and remember what a wonderful thing you did for your daughter and how much you cared about her future and you'll feel very good about your decision. All your doing is getting information to help you in making a decision. It's completely non-invasive and my son just loved the whole process. After all he got to play and get his head rubbed by cute ladies!!! :-) ANyway, you know what's best and I'm not trying to push you or anything. I just wanted to let you know that the clinic that Dr. Trovato has started there is for people like you and me that want answers and are confused by alot of the info that's out there. Good luck! --- Deborah B <aguinesslover@...> wrote: > Hi Manon, we live in Robbinsville NJ. Guest guest
Hey Manon. Dr. Trovato was wonderful. I sent her pictures of Brielle and she got right back to me. I would really like to see her in person. My husband thinks I am totally obsessed about this, so he has been upset with me, how can you not become obsessed. Anyway, I'll try my hardest to get him to go with me, but he really trusts the Dr. from the Children's Hospital of PA who we saw initially and go back the end of this month to see where we should go. Dr. Trovato said based on Brielles pictures and measurements that band or not she will be o.k. I e-mailed her again some more questions so I'm sure she'll get back to me. Do you see her again. Guest guest
is going to be part of her research group so she wants to see him in 3 months to see his progress. She follows up with all the babies whether they decide to treat or not. Being obsessed is not a bad thing. It's all I've thought about for months and i feel so much better now that I'm actively doing something... Manon --- Deborah B <aguinesslover@...> wrote: > Hey Manon. Dr. Trovato was wonderful.
