Guest guest
> , LOL Well it's personal preference I guess. I love eggs but really taste no difference when I use the egg beaters in things where they are mixed in or scrambled. It's just one of the little ways to cut the fat. Like in cakes, I use them and also applesauce instead of veg oil and they turn out the same but I feel better knowing there is less fat in them. We like pancakes, waffles or french toast, usually on Sunday I make a big batch and then that is breakfast during the week and I use the egg beaters and applesauce in all of them. Did you see that list of healthy cooking tips a few days ago? I do a lot of those things. That is just the way I cook now. I try to make normal things but cut the fat wherever I can. It was just a suggestion. Gena > I'm still not convinced on eggs stored in a pourable box. Guest guest
I know it was just a suggestion and a good one for sure. I do use the applesauce etc....I'm just becoming very weird lately about processed foods...it's bizarre. But I also have to eat differently than most people because of PCOS so processed foods aren't really a good option for me, as I'm trying to detox and stay as close to the natural food as I can. It helps, I feel 100% better these days and the weight is steadily coming off, big change over even 4 months ago. Hugs, > > > , > LOL Well it's personal preference I guess. Guest guest
, That's great that you feel soo much better. Believe me, I understand about avoiding processed foods. due to an under active thyroid I have a very low metabolism and actually a lot of the symptoms of PCOS. I'm seriously considering getting checked for it. It is hard to tell. I had my tubes tied when I had Cassie and she is almost 13 so I don't know about infertility. My periods aren't too bad and I get them with in a few days each month so I don't have that problem but I do have the excess hair, pluck, pluck, pluck! I hate it! But that could be my thyroid. I do get acne and carry my weight in the middle. Like I said, it's hard to say but I am thinking of being checked for it. Also Mike has chronic fatigue syndrome and crohn's. With those illnesses, we have cut way back on processed foods. Still eat too much of them but we have cut back a lot. Always room for improvement. :-) But the egg beaters, my understanding is they are simply the egg with the cholesterol and fat removed. Anyway, you have done great! I'm very impressed. You have really taken the bull by the horns. I have read a lot about PCOS lately and it sounds like you really have a handle on it. Good for you! Gena :-) > I know it was just a suggestion and a good one for sure. I do use > the applesauce etc....I'm just becoming very weird lately about > processed foods...it's bizarre. Guest guest
I guess I just think that there must be some chemical to preserve eggs cracked into a box. How can they stay fresh without a preservative? Now you've got me craving eggs! LOL Talk to your doc about it. It might not hurt to get a hormone test. I never had regular cycles. Could be 21, 28, 49, 53, 72 and 99 days between. Never could tell when. > > , > That's great that you feel soo much better.
