Guest guest
Hello everyone! I just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their experiences. Even though I rarely post, I try to read through others' posts, and you have so much to share. My 7-month old baby boy, Logan, was casted last week by Dr. Barringer in Oklahoma City (we live in Tulsa). He should be getting his Starband this week or next -- keep your fingers crossed. We may have to fight United Healthcare, but we're still waiting on an initial response -- we have no network providers in our state, but the orthotic device is not specifically excluded by our policy, so that's a positive start. Thanks to you all, we're practicing wearing a hat every day (he doesn't seem to mind it one bit) and have contacted SoonerStart (OK Early Intervention program) for an evaluation for possible torticollis. Amy Logan's Mommy 7 mos, mod. plagio, poss. tort
Guest guest
Amy, That is great. Be sure no more than two weeks passes in betwenn casting and fitting, this is what the manufacturer of the Starband recommends. Read through the files here on Getting a good fit and Helping baby adjust to the band. Let us know when he gets banded.
