Guest guest
Hi Karyn, I’ll mention it to (my daughter). She is on Kaiser health insurance and I know they cover acupuncture as they prescribed it for me when I was dealing with the arthritis. I found that it forced me to relax. If you didn’t, it was somewhat painful. The more you tightened up, the more the pins hurt. Almost like a cramp. I found that if I did the same when I was having other pain, it helped alleviate the pain. At least that is my take on how it helped me. I am not sure how it relates to itching but it’s definitely worth a try. Perhaps it’s the same basic principle, if you relax when you feel a slight itch; it’s not as likely to bother you. Keep me posted on how you do with it when you start back up. Darv From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Karyn Sent: Tuesday, August 08, 2006 8:25 PM To: Subject: Acupuncture Hi Darv. I was having many, many sleepless night due to itching. I started going for acupuncture. After a couple of sessions my itching completely went away. I have been away for a month and not able to get to the acupuncturist and the itching is slowing coming back. Tomorrow I will be back getting my needles.... can't wait. Worth a try for anyone. It helped dramatically with my UC a well. > > Hello all, > > > > I'd like to take just a moment of your time to introduce myself to the list > and explain why I am here. > > > > I'm 44 years old and my 25yr old daughter was diagnosed with PSC about 3 > years ago.
