Guest guest
Hi Jen, I'm getting mine off tomorrow at 12:30, so I guess I can let you know. I did have some of my lower brackets removed about 3 weeks ago, and it didn't hurt, matter of fact, I didn't realize what he was doing until I heard snap! snap! and said " are you taking some brackets off? " - " yes " . What a nice surprise that was! It was a few days before I stopped trying to dig food out from the phantom brackets/archwire with my tongue. Hard to believe they are gone. Cleanup is a cinch now. Anyway, some people are more sensitive to pain than I, nonetheless I'm going to try to remember to premedicate before I go (anti- inflam). The part I don't like is the grinding off of the bonding material - I don't like the dentist much, and it reminds me too much of that. Your prom night will be extra special - congrats! Guest guest
Hi Jen, and congratulations! Although some people say removal hurts, that was not my experience. He just took the brackets off -- a little bit of pressure -- and removed the bands, and then they cleaned and polished my teeth. I had no trouble at all. Hope your experience will be teh same.
