The statements about MELD being biased against PSC > patients is another example. New people here just learning don't know > how to seperate fact from fiction. That is ok to sound harsh, because I often do the same thing. AS for your comment about being " frustrated about not checking the facts first. " The MELD comment is something our specialist made in passing. I also stated that the MELD score is not always best for those with PSC. I did not say it was biased against PSC. Maybe it is potato pototo to you, but there is a difference. Anyway my statement was based on information gathered from our doctor. Who knows maybe we are the ones who need to get a new doctor. No wait, he is Director of the UPMC Center for Liver Diseases, and one of the liver transplant physicians at the E. Starzl Transplantation Institute. But who knows maybe he doesn't know the facts? If I sound snide and upset well I am a bit. I don't enjoy being pointed at for making false statements. On a positive note, I will say there have been many subjects that I have agreed with you on. I realize that I can learn a lot from your experiences. I also know there may be a bit more banter between us, but thats OK because I enjoy a good banter, and I learn from them.
