Guest guest
I'd like to thank everyone for their ideas. I bought a bunch of grapes today and I'm going to freeze some. Hunted about the stores for some new snacks but in my state of sleepiness (due to my son waking up 2 times last night because he was excited about shopping today since he had money to buy Legos with!) I fell back on some of my old tried and true snacks. I'll hit the store again on Tuesday when I'm not having to do the full weeks shopping to find some new stuff. thanks for the idea! We used your pizza idea yesterday for our afternoon snack. Instead of tomato sauce we used a little margarine and garlic powder then added some dairy free " cheese " and toppings. They were very tasty. Thanks again. your recipe for the Chili Wheat Treats reminded me of one that I found on iKidney.com for a sweet renal friendly version of Chex mix. It's called Cranapple-Cinnamon Snack Mix. I'll have to print off the recipe again and make some and try your Chili Treats recipe too. Guest guest
Crystal, Rita and , Thanks for your wonderful responses. I'm afraid all this flattery is going to make 's head as big as his feet used to be! Crytal, I'm honored you made them. I'm glad they were a hit in your house. Rita, was thinking of you when we were hiking around the south end of San Francisco Bay on Sunday. Fennel grows wild all over the place down here in huge bushes that are taller than I am. New leaves are just beginning to form - makes it smell heavenly! I think I'm going to go freeze us some grapes! That sounded interesting... Cy Re: Snacks?
