Guest guest
Avent products are from England. I am a big fan of all their products. I am looking forward to trying the Isis pump myself. I have heard that some women who work use two at the same time and get results the same as or better than the expensive electric pumps. Annemarie 12/21/96 Baby Lynn EDD 08/14/00 Too cool. I don't know about where you are but they run about $75 CDN here, and you can get a good electric for about $200 so it doesn't seem too cost efficient! Guest guest
Annemarie, There is also a Medela pedal pump that is around $75 I think. It is operated just like a pedal sewing machine or spindle and hooked up to the Medela double pump setup. Seems pretty nice! I am in the US. You can find them in the $30-$40 range, depending where you are shopping. It is more if you are purchasing the back to work package. I am considering double pumping with the Isis(if I like it)at work after the baby is born because I might not always have access to an outlet. At $75 a pop I can see where there would not be much difference in the cost. Annemarie Re: Too cool. Avent products are from England. I am a big fan of all their products. Guest guest
Just wanted to add my .02 cents worth on the Avent Pump (isn't it a hand pump) versus an Electric... Since I work on a computer all day, I don't need the added stress on my wrists of hand pumping. I also pump 4 times a day. I have the Medella PIS and for me, it's already made itself worth the money. I've been pumping 4 times a day since the end of September. I can't imagine doing that with a hand pump and then have to type and click on top of that. > ><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN " > ><HTML> ><HEAD> ><META HTTP-EQUIV= " Content-Type " CONTENT= " text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 " > > > > ><META content=' " MSHTML 4.72.3612.1706 " ' name=GENERATOR> ><STYLE></STYLE> > ></HEAD> ><BODY bgColor=#ffffff> ><DIV><SPAN class=350224323-10052000><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial >size=2>,</FONT></SPAN></DIV> ><DIV><SPAN class=350224323-10052000><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial >size=2></FONT></SPAN> </DIV> ><DIV><SPAN class=350224323-10052000><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2>They >are about $40 here and the Pump in Style is $250 so it is a good deal. ></FONT></SPAN></DIV> ><DIV> </DIV> ><P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Wendi </FONT><BR><FONT face=Arial size=2><A >href= " http://www.lactivist.com/ " >target=_blank>http://www.lactivist.com</A></FONT> <BR><FONT face=Arial >size=2>breastfeeding info & resources</FONT> </P> ><DIV> </DIV> ><BLOCKQUOTE> > <DIV class=OutlookMessageHeader><FONT face= " Times New Roman " > size=2></B> Re: > Too cool.<BR><BR></FONT></DIV> > <BLOCKQUOTE > style= " BORDER-LEFT: #ff0000 solid 2px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px " > > <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Avent products are from England.
