Guest guest
is only 3 months and will be 4 months when he gets his band. I have a friend who is an artist that will help me, but I need to think of a theme. He will only need the band for about 6 weeks, so it will be August/September when he has it. What could I do? I love Waydon's band and I know that is just stickers. How long does the paint process take. I want to really get the band on and then not take it off unless I am cleaning it. I think the paint process might take a while (with the number of coats and whatnot). How long does it usually take to paint one of thes? If I do have it painted, I think I want a light blue base to go with the majority of his clothes. I was thinking a Classic Pooh theme maybe. Pooh fishing? Who knows. I saw a really cute Nemo one on the CT site. I love the Elmo one that I saw here too. If is only going to be in it 6 weeks am I better off just doing stickers? What do you put on top of the stickers, if anything?
Guest guest
I suggest using the stickers actually! I know they are really cute painted also, but I like being able to change his themes often! I've already changed it from the one that I posted pics of him in. Now it's a " Sun Fun " theme with a pool, bubbles, wagon, beach ball, and just a bunch of fun things to do outdoors in the summer! It's a really cute one too! A couple of my friends are getting married in a few weeks and they are having a hawiian themed wedding and my husband and I are both in it (we are wearing hawiian print sundress and shirt), well I got Waydon a hawiian print shirt from Old Navy and I got a bunch of cute stickers to do his band to match!! Like palm trees, leis, surf board!! I really enjoy making each theme really cute with the stickers. Oh and I just use Mod Podge to cover the stickers when I'm done placing them. It peels off really well to start the next theme. Lacy Waydon's mom 8.5 months 2.5 weeks DOCband > is only 3 months and will be 4 months when he gets his band. Guest guest
Sorc, I didn't paint so I am no help with that. You can do stickers and then you coat them with Mod Podge, you can also do rub on transfers and coat them as well. I love the Pooh idea, but I like eeyore better, lol. Guest guest
I would go with stickers so you can change the theme peridoically during the 6 weeks. I did both. I painted the 1st DOC band and had to repaint when it chipped and peeled - bummer. I painted the 2nd one at first too. Then I switched to stickers. I changed the theme every week - had a lot of fun. DecoratingThemes.htm mom to na (now 2) Doc Grad and Kiersten, preventative repo (5 weeks) www.thefilyaws.comsorcamc <sorcamc@...> wrote: is only 3 months and will be 4 months when he gets his band.
