Thanks, everyone, for all the great info on eggs and seafood! During this

pregnancy, food has been my biggest issue. Not only because of my rny, but

because of the severe mystery pain I get after I eat (which they can't do

anything about until after I deliver). In addition, I haven't eaten beef,

pork or chicken in over 11 years...the only meat I eat is seafood (I do eat

eggs and cheese)! My diet never caused a problem in my previous pre-wls

pregnancy (other than gaining TOO much). My son was born at 9lbs 9oz, 22

in. He's sharper than both his dad and myself...started talking in short

sentences at 10 mos. He also did not eat meat until he was a year old.

Thankfully, he has so far never shown any signs of a predisposition towards

my weight problems.

This pregnancy has been a different story. I have the increased appetite

that a lot of you have talked about, but almost everything I eat sends my

into a very painful episode that can sometimes last for hours. I think that

I probably would have gained some weight if I hadn't had to deal with this

constant pain! It's so weird that I had surgery to try and make me more

" normal " about food, but I end up being obsessed with every little morsel

that goes into my mouth...or what I want to eat, but know I can't. Anyway,

because I can only seem to get so much in I've really tried to eat as much

protein in the form of fish and eggs as possible. I've tried to be very

careful about the types and quantity of fish that I eat, so I guess time

will only tell.
