Guest guest
Martha, Is it a truly inverted nipple, meaning that if you grasp your areola and push back (which would make a normal nipple pop out) does it go in or come out like your other one? Breast shells I think is what you mean. Breast shells do help and you should follow the instructions with them. It could be the reason both children prefered the other, although both my children prefered the same one as well. I think my breasts have different milk flow patterns. I will look up some info in the next couple days and post anything pertinent. Wendi http://www.lactivist.com breastfeeding info & resources inverted nipple From: Fafahahema@... I got a question......i have an inverted nipple on my left side. I got a breast sheild and was wondering if it is really gonna help and when should I go ahead and start wearing it. The instruction booklet says starting in the second tri and start off at about an hour aday and slowly increase your wearing time. Please give me some advice. I sometimes think this may have been some of the problem with both of my kids b/c they never seemed to like the left side.....i know it is normal to prefer one side over the other....but both children? Anyways......what should I do.....i would really like to help in anyway I can...not only for their sake but for looks to.....I don't like the way it looks. Guest guest
Martha, It certainly won't hurt. Everything you can do to bring out that nipple will just make it that much easier to nurse. Although many women have had an entire nursing relationship using only one breast.
