Guest guest
Sorry, I accidentally hit Send before I was finished. Symptoms of IBC are: red, hot, swollen breast, inverted nipple, sometimes an "orange rind looking" rash, intense itching. Sadly, many of these symptoms mimic mastitis, a common breast infection - and when women present with these symptoms, they are too often told it's an infection and given antibiotics and sent on their way. When symptoms refuse to subside, they might be given a mammogram/and or ultrasound. Again, the IBC may go undetected. Please learn these symptoms and pass this info on to all the women you know. If anyone does present with ibc symptoms, be sure you see a doctor who is informed about IBC. Remember, we don't need a lump to have breast cancer. Regards, Ann (A 6-year survivor of IBC) Please check out my chemo hats: www.cjhats.com Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.
