Also during our conversation it came up that this sonographer did his

radiography training with the son of one of my surgeons. This fellow

(surgeon's son) had advanced papillary carcinoma (even though his Dad had

bet it wouldn't be cancerous, same as he said to me) and required his whole

gland removed and then had RAI treatment.

I wondered if the situation had changed here in Oz, considering Topper's and

others experiences, but it's still as I thought - in Australia you are in

isolation *in hospital* for a week, they don't send you home after taking

the RAI.

I think I'd have rather stayed in the hospital... one of the things I get is that I was never in the hospital, never had surgery, all I did was swallow a little pill and now I make a big deal out of it so that people feel sorry for me.....

At least if I'd been in the hospital I wouldn't be treated like such a bum.... maybe.

Then too, it sucks to have to decontaminate your home... I didn't have much for set up time...

sigh....
