Guest guest
Hi everyone! First, I wanted to say that I'm glad this place exists. Ever since I found out I had an anomalie, I've felt pretty alone. Who ever knew there were so many ways for your uterus to end up?! I didn't find out until about 3 years ago anything was wrong. I had always had painful/irregular cycles. My 3rd OBGYN finally did an ultrasound, said I had a bicorneate uterus. He did an HSG (not pleasant) and confirmed it. When I moved and found a different RE, they did an MRI and said I actually had a full uterine septum that also went through my cervix. So many diagnosies! My doctor finally explained the stats to me about having a successful pregnancy (which was slim to none) unless I had a resection. I had my surgery a week ago. Everything went well, but my sodium level dropped, so he wasn't able to completely remove the septum. He told my husband it was still successful. I go for my follow up in 4 days. I was curious if anyone else has had a similar case and what thier conception outcome has been. My husband and I have been TTC for 3 years with no success at all. It would have been nice to know about the septum 3 years ago, but that's life I guess. I'm still pretty young (26), so I'm hoping that my body will recover quickly and that we'll have some baby luck soon. Love to hear anyone's story, suggestions, etc! Thanks!
