Guest guest
Hi I had RNY 9/7/00...started out at 350 am now 218. I would like to lose more but now that I've found out I'm pregnant I guess that's not going to happen anytime soon. This is my first and I am 41 and single. This is all very exciting and scary. I've always wanted a baby and finally just decided to go for it alone. Is there any specific diet/vitamin regime that we are supposed to follow? I'm just starting to think about all this and am a little, no a lot overwhelmed.
Guest guest
, Congratulations on your pregnancy? How many weeks are you? First thing if you haven't seen one yet, see an Obstetrician. I also contacted my Bariatric surgeon's Nutritionist regarding diet for myself and the baby. Good luck and Best Wishes! D. Open RNY/2-18-03/-130lbs c-section on 1-13-03 to deliver

Guest guest
I'm hungry after 2-3 hours also but my OB says it is because we aren't taking in as much as we did before and we go through this food faster (because you are utilizing it and so is baby). I too hope my hunger goes back down after baby is born. Dr. was happy yesterday because I gained the recommended pound per week (4 pounds between visits). I told her it couldn't be helped because I felt so hungry the entire month! Re: I just found out Jana, I am 33 1/2 weeks PG and I like you am STARVING after a couple of hours. I also feel like I can eat more than what I did pre-pregnancy. Does anyone else feel that way? Its a little scary! Just hoping everything goes back to normal after my daughter is born! Guest guest
I am 25 weeks, haven't gained anything (food adversions) but I feel I am starting at a much higher weight than everyone else (195). Currently I am ravenous! I eat every two hours! I was headed towards GD (failed the 1 hour gtt) so I eliminated majority of sugars from my diet; and started monitoring my glucose levels to keep my Doctors happy about the fact I wouldn't take their 3 hr. glucose tolerance test (all my levels are totally normal too) but I think this is the reason why I personally haven't gained anything. But I am also worried with my sudden appetite!? KR Age: 34, First Child, due May 2- it's a boy! RNY 7/2000, lost 90lbs. 277 to 187, inches back to 195 PCOS, 20 years > >, > >I'm 28 wks PG and am 23 and single. I am doing this " alone " as well but with > >lots of support from my family. Guest guest
KR, I know how you feel! We have a lot in common. I went from 296 to 184 with my RNY but am up to 200. (Just 6 weeks pg, so that's not why. It's just the way it is.) With less supposed " wiggle room, " of course we're more concerned aobut weight gain than others! Just makes sense. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though, as long as you're making good choices. You *will* gain some weight, but it looks like most of it does come off pretty easily afterward if you're smart about it along the way. I'll keep my fingers crossed aobut that -- for both of us! --Darla OSSG-pregnant , " R <hrhkrandall@h...> " <hrhkrandall@h...> wrote: > I am 25 weeks, haven't gained anything (food adversions) but I feel I > am starting at a much higher weight than everyone else (195). > Currently I am ravenous!
