Hello all,

I just wanted to give my little 31 week update. As some of you might

remember, I had to have surgery during my 17th week to have a cyst and

ovary removed. As a result, I have had more than a dozen ultrasounds, but

have never been able to determine the sex. I'm terribly shallow and I was

really hoping for a girl to balance out my family (I have a wonderfully

energetic 5 yr old son, Max). My doctor sent me for an ultrasound on

Monday because she was concerned about my lack of weight gain and wanted to

confirm the baby's growth. Max was a big baby (9lbs 9oz) so smaller didn't

sound so bad to me...but I was concerned about development.

Turns out the baby is normal to big, with everything working and where it's

supposed to be. It also turns out that we clearly saw a hamburger...no

turtles in sight. I can't believe it. A girl. I wanted a girl so bad, but

was told by one u/s tech that it was probably a boy. I had totally prepared

myself for another boy. Max is a little disappointed because he really

wanted a little brother. But he's a little trooper and keeps saying he'll

love it anyway. I think my husband might be in shock a little.

:-) We've been playing with the name andra (he likes ), but we're

leaning towards Abigail (little Abby).

My last pregnancy seemed to take forever, but this one is going a little

too fast. I can't believe I'm going to have her in just 2 months!

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for listening.

Rusty
