Guest guest
Why do they need his records just to schedule an appointment?? His name should be in the computer as a patient!! No idea about the tapping and tears, although our kids have really screwed up sensory systems so he may have interpreted it as pain??? Again I would say it's probably a sensory thing. Either the fabric felt good on him or the length itself, or possibly even the weight. Experiment a little with clothes and see if you can find a pattern to it. Guest guest
>>No idea about the tapping and tears, although our kids have really screwed up sensory systems so he may have interpreted it as pain???<< Exactly! How weird. He has so few *body* issues that it never dawned on me. So this time, I go back and barely touch his upper arm/shoulder and the reaction was immediate. Normally he ignores touch, but not this one. Well, I feel better understanding it now. debbi

Guest guest
Sounds sensory. Poor guy. Things that would never bother use can set them off like crazy. I am sure someone has already suggested this. Sorry. jacquie H FRUSTRATION ARGH!! The stupid neurologist office has lost his records and won't make an appointment for him. I'm next to tears. GDI he NEEDS the help and everyone is playing stupid with us. Especially Buster's mother. Where the hell is she? On an aside, I was so frustrated at Buster today that I tapped his shoulder. Now he never, ever cries. You would think the whole world came to an end. He kept reaching for his shoulder and real tears came to his eyes. For about 5 minutes, then he was fine. Anyone want to clue me in on this one... Buster hates clothes, just won't wear them unless we are going out (why he knows he has to then is beyond me). So today I put something on him that's miles too long in length of arms and legs and he wears it. :S debbi --- Enter to win 6 free Disney DVD's http://tinyurl.com/3ztv

Guest guest
, I think every single one of us would feel the same way! I can't imagine typing for a single day without all of my " stuff " just the way I want it! I think I'd take a day of vacation! LOL! S. vtmt@... www.mt-resources.com Frustration Good morning, I just had to vent this morning, I guess I am just a spoiled MT and I really shouldn't complain, but! They are putting in new carpet and new cubicles (I get a new desk, nicer and bigger) but I have to work in my supervisors office and it is so hard to sit in a different chair and I don't have a comfortable place for the foot pedal and the IS department took out our computers yesterday so I have to use a different computer so I don't have my text inserts or auto correct so I have to type everything out. Yes, spoiled I know, and it is only for today, but I hate to take the time to put in auto corrects for such a short time. It is so easy to get used to having everything your way and then when you don't boy is it hard to change. Sorry I just had to get it out as I am sitting her just b____ing and complaining to myself about how uncomfortable I am, not only that, but her foot pedal sucks! it moves all over the floor, it doesn't stay put! I hope everyone has a better day than I am!

Guest guest
Do you have an extra rubber MousePad in your office? Throw it on the floor and put the foot pedal on it. I have to do that with my foot pedal for my sewing machine, and it works great. Just a thought,

Guest guest
Ohhhhhhhh, I've been there and just recently! They renovated our office (there are 4 MTs in one big room), and we had new carpet installed and new desks built. However...while they were doing this we got to transcribe in our department's break room for 2 weeks! GRRRRRRRR. Our desks were the tables you eat on. My co-worker and I were so close to each other that if I backed up and she backed up at the same time (in our chairs), we would've had a major collision. People coming in and out to use the microwave, put something in the fridge, take something out of the fridge, wash a fork, brew some coffee...............ARGH!!!!!!!! I don't think I would've lasted had we had to work like that for even one more day!! This occurred during 2 weeks last December. The end result has been nice, though. No complaints there. I feel for ya!!! You have my empathy. ) Frustration Good morning, I just had to vent this morning, I guess I am just a spoiled MT and I really shouldn't complain, but! Guest guest
, Been there, done that. It was terrible. It has been years ago, but I have had to work under those conditions for a very short time. Now I think I would take the day off rather than have to do it again. Guest guest
Debbi, This must all be so frustrating for you. How long before the six-month period is up? Does " mom " always show up just in time to make sure you don't get guardianship? Sissi
