Guest guest
We're switching care to Shriners. This morning Darbi got her second cast which is a plaster high leg cast. Her foot had quite a bit of correction after the one cast so I am sure we were seeing a good Dr. before but they offered to care for her at Shriners and this is a true qualified Ponseti Dr. (the other Ortho is on staff at Shriners too and works with this Dr.). He said she should be corrected in at most 5 more casts but after seeing the amount of correction she got from just the one I think it may be less. Then she goes into the DBB for two months full time and then nights and naps till she's two after that. They will be caring for her at no cost to us which will really help since we have crappy insurance and I don't even know if they will accept her after we tell them she's got this diagnosis much less cover much if any of the costs associated with this. Thank you all for your help and advice. I'm really glad we decided to ask them to see her and even happier that they think she's worth treating!
