Guest guest
Rennie, You are sure right there. Dumb is not asking for help and just putting down whatever you think is correct. The best way to learn is to ask questions. I think everyone on this list started out by being good at asking all those questions that we thought were dumb and finding out what was correct. By the way, have I ever told you guys about one of the people that I was supposed to being doing QA for while she was in training. She and I did not work the same shift, so I would come in at night and check her work and then she would see it the next day. I had a terrible time with getting her to look things up. She would just put whatever and if spell check accepted it, she would too. She did get to where she was looking things up, but she never really made it doing medical records transcription. She was a very good radiology transcriptionist and when a job came open in radiology, she went to work up there. I was so glad when she did. I sure wish she would have asked more questions and looked things up during the day, instead of just letting me check it over at night and then tell her what was wrong. So , please keep asking those questions. Margaret >>> " Rennie " 01/27/03 06:35PM >>> Dumb is *not* asking. Don't hide, . Guest guest
You are all so easy on me. )))) I have always been very hard on myself, no matter what I did. The perfectionist in me, I guess. On another note, I have to say I was scanning the thread about isolation, and have to say, I am soooo A-okay with working alone in my little office!! Office politics I can do without. Plus, I'm not much of a people person, and definitely not good at small talk. When I used to work out of my home people used to think I was a snob. I'm not -- REALLY. Just shy, and don't talk much. - finally found her niche ))))) and happy to have cyber pals I can count on Re: h.f.? Nope, that would be h.s. (at night). Guest guest
The same here. I read every post - well, almost every one; I skipped over some of that nursing stuff (a little too rich for me). But, seriously, I pay particular attention to what you experience MTs have to say. It is a great help in getting some good 'orientation' in this profession. Thanks so much! Ken Re: h.f.? Please, please keep asking questions!!!
