Guest guest
, I'm so excited for you! I'm glad that you're getting a second opinion (and from none other than Dr. Ponseti, himself)! If Jaren does have to go back into casts, it won't be the end of the world. had to go back into a cast for 3 weeks when she was 9 months old for a late tenotomy. It was actually a nice reprieve from the shoes for that 3 weeks. She tolerated it very well after a day or two. We happened to be living in Florida at the time and so our biggest problem was the sandy beach once we got back (but you won't have the same issues in these sub-zero temps BEST OF LUCK!! Amy & Going to IA! Hi everyone! I am SO happy! Everything with insurance worked out, and we will be going to see Dr. Ponseti on Monday, March 10th at 8:00 am!!! I am also nervous though because of what Dr. P had written to me about there possibly being some " residual cavus " with Jaren's foot. But at last we will be seeing the man himself. I am going to be furious with our dr. at Mayo if we have to go through the castings and everything again. Jaren is 10 months old now and starting to walk around furniture-I don't think I could bear having him in the casts at this point. But I know that what Dr. Ponseti will say will be the right thing-no more wondering if our dr. is doing things the way he should. Keep your fingers crossed for Jaren!
