Guest guest
I agree, it could have been the acidity aspect rather than the actual AED properties of the topomax that was initially a good 'recipe' for Logan. Did he have he blood gases etc checked in hospital? I remember something about acidosis possibly causing problems with him in there? So he may be quite one who is super-sensitive to acidity/alkalinity? Maybe he needs to be somewhere in between for the right balance for him. I know lots of debate on here about the usefulness of urine ph, but personally we have always seen some sort of correlation with urine ph and seizure control in . Poss a catch 22 or chicken before the egg situation, but there have been times where his urine ph has gone v alkaline (like 8 ish even) and shortly after it has hit the fan with him seizure wise. So maybe a few spot tests in the multistix to see what the readings are doing? How about blood sugar? Do you test this - if so, what sort of range is he usually in? ----- Original Message ----- >You were on topamax plus the diet.
