Guest guest
Two weeks ago my leg swoll up in a 20 minute period and turned purple. Went to the Emergency and was admitted. My doctor hadnt been able to get me in for a cat scan and was keeping me until I had one. The swelling in my leg was a blood clot so I have been on a large dosage of blood thinner. The next day I had a cat scan and I have cancer in my pancreas that has spread to my liver. Last Thursday started chemo for that. Cant do any thing for that except chemo to try and give me more time. Had severe back and leg pain so my doctor gave me a cat scan of my bones and I have two cancer spots on my spine. To=day started radiation for that. I am having four large treatments . Was suppose to have them in a row but as my son from Ontario came for Mothers day they gave me a weekend pass to come home so will start again Monday. Poor Dick is a mess. Please keep him in your prayers. Going back to hospital Sunday night . I have to have an MRI and wont be coming home until a date has been set for that. Hope they wont find more tumors. From all my medications told me I could have a fuzzy brain so hope I make sense, Cant believe this is all happening but will just have to take it day by day. My oncologist said the radiation is more important than chemo so it has been stopped for now. Love, Leona

Guest guest
Dear Leona, I'm so sorry to hear this news. I was hoping that your doc was wrong when he told you that it was cancer, earlier. Please keep us posted, good news or bad. You and your family are in my thoughts. Martha (MA) Cant believe this is all happening but will just have to take it day by day. > Love, Leona >

Guest guest
Leona, I'm so sorry to hear your news. It must be so overwhelming. I'll pray that you have a " good day " for your Mother's Day outing And, of course, we'll be sending prayers for healing and for help for your family in dealing with this. Guest guest
Dear Leona, What a lousy hand you have been dealt. I'm glad your son was able to get home for Mother's Day. You deserve the best day possible and I know his being home with you has made that true. You are in our prayers here in Omaha. Tim

Guest guest
Thanks to all for your replies. What a wonderful second family I have. Had a wonderful weekend with my family. Only wish I had my other DIL and two grandchildren here as well. Must not be greedy as I had my son as well as my other son, DIL and grandson. Have to return to hospital in an hour but my doc is hoping by tomorrow I will have a date set for my MRI and everything else will be set as an outpatient. My sweeetie bought me a wireless lap top for Mothers Day which will be nice. Our other computer is upstairs. Hope all mothers had a lovely Mothers Day and my love to all.
