Guest guest
I have used stickers on my son's MED-EL coil. It's a solid circle a little larger than a quarter. A few times I stuck a happy face or a sports ball sticker that covered most of the coil. One time I used a shiny metallic type happy face and we discovered that the testing wand would show that the coil wasn't transmitting. I believe it was actually still transmitting because if I flipped the coil over to the side that touches his head I would get the red indicator light, but when I placed the wand on the flip side where the sticker was I would get no light. From then on I didn't use the metallic sticker because I didn't know if it could possibly cause some interference. If I used regular non-shiny stickers the tester worked on both sides.
