Guest guest
Hi, I was mostly a lurker here and really enjoyed reading all your wonderful stories of birth and finding out you are pregnant and now I get to add mine. My DH and I have been together for 10 years, from the beggining although we were very young we did not use any type of protection. Once we became husband and wife we tried even harder to get pregnant but to no avail. I became very depressed and sad thinking I would never become a mother. My husband was very depressed as well. In November of last year I decided I would look into Gastric Bypass mainly because my health was deteriorating and I was only 26 years old, and also I knew my weight was the reason I was not a mommy yet. So I had my surgery on May 28, 2002 I weighed 367 pnds at time and in 7 months have lost 130 pnds. I am still 60 pounds from my personal goal but I have also come a long way. Although my surgeon told me to wait 12-18 months , I put it in Gods hands and believed that if it was meant to be it would happen. Fast forward to Dec 28, 2002 I noticed I had been very sleepy for the past few days and I decided to buy a PG test on Dec 30, 2002. Now for the last 10 years every HPT test I have ever bought was a BFN --- so I ran in tearing open the package (TMI - I had to pee baadd) and when I looked at it the first line came up so dark and fast I thought ohh its the control line, but then the control line came up and I started shaking and crying , I thanked God and I called my husband. I have never been more happier than I was that day. Marrying my husband was a happy moment , but finally being Pregnant? You know how I feel. SO 12/31/02 I confirmed with a blood test / my BETA was 228 HCG and my progestrone 24.7 / my nurse said they were excellent numbers at 14DPO. I called my surgeon and he said that as long as my blood work was good and I continued to take my vitamins and I also feel good, to enjoy my pregnancy and not worry. What a way to end 2002 and welcome 2003. So I ask you, since I do not have Morning Sickness yet or tender boobs, when did you all get these types of sympthoms? My only sympthom is getting tired throughout the day. I am 7 months POST OP and praying for a healthy baby and healthy 9 months. Thank you all for reading my book. Guest guest
I didn't start feeling nauseous until I was about 8 weeks pg, and then it lasted until about 14 weeks. I never threw up, though, so I feel pretty lucky. You may not even have the nausea. - Alice edd 5/24/03 " jessyj27 " wrote: > > Hi, > > I was mostly a lurker here and really enjoyed reading all your > wonderful stories of birth and finding out you are pregnant and now I > get to add mine. > > My DH and I have been together for 10 years, from the beggining > although we were very young we did not use any type of protection. > Once we became husband and wife we tried even harder to get pregnant > but to no avail.
