Guest guest
What's that about RAI causing bladder or colon cancer???????? AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Info please!!!!! bye Ruy Re: Bobbie - Re: SECOND TIME AROUND Thank you , My TSH has been fine for all these years, suppressed to about .01 or .02 without any change, even now. My thyrogoblin has been good---last was .9 --- I was told that was good. I am told that the RAI will be much lower this time. I see the oncologist on Fri the 21 and will know more. My mass is only 6mm. My doc thinks it is lymph. I have not had the scan, yet. Yes, I know about the iodine. But, a few people have told me their docs said it was not necessarry. How can that be? I was on no iodine the first time too. Reading everyone's troubles has helped me look at the big picture and stop my whining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I read that the RAI treatments can cause colon and bladder cancer. Have you read that also? Known any thyroid cancer survivors that had to deal with that next? I feel better already today. It does help to share. It was so dumb of me to think I was cured all these years....... I also had radiation as a 3 or 4 year old. Treatment in the 50's for a tumor. That explains my cancer. I guess we all die of something. Sooner or later. It overwhelmed me at first. I am adjusting day by day. Although, I am procrastinating the hypo for a month or so. I am not ready yet. I don't think the 100 mCi you had 10 years ago was overkill, and the fact that you have a recurrence proves it.
