Guest guest
" I had my son tested for phenols yesterday. He is extremely intolerant. " Can you explain this? To my knowledge there is no direct test for phenol intolerance. And to answer about the No Fenol. It does work for my boys. Guest guest
My daughter really freaked out the other day when I gave her Satsumas (she did eat too many of them). However, I tried to give her a little amount today and she had a minor mealtdown. She had been doing fine with other fruits and honey, but now I am wondering if No Phenol would be good for her. I am wondering if I would see even more positive results since she must be sensitive to phenols. I went to the pecan website and clicked on the link to No Phenol, but there were 3 different types of No Phenols. Which one is the one to buy? Thanks, Trella mom to , age 7, PDD-NOS, SCD 10/18/
Guest guest
Jody, Yes, Satsumas are oranges, but taste much better than Naval Oragnges and are easy too peel, I think that is why she was able to eat so many. The Satsuma that my daughter ate came directly from my husband's aunt's tree. All other fruits I have given her before were from the store. Unfortunately, I don't know how many is too many. She got a hold of a bowl of them at my mother-in-laws and no one knows how many she ate. I would think more than 4. She started running around, hitting her brother and sister when something went wrong or when nothing was going wrong. Crying uncontrollably. Her whole body would just get very tense at times. I couldn't calm her down. She would go from crying to just spinning out of control all in a matter of minutes. It lasted for about two hours and then she feel asleep. She was better when she woke up in the morning, and pooped forever. I tried giving her one Satsuma today and she starting complaining and just being grouchy. Since starting the diet we had not had these out burst. She did go through die-offs where she would be a little whiny, or more sensitive to noise and smells, but nothing like the episodes with the Satsumas. Everyone has said how much nicer and easier to be around since being on this diet. She is still a perfectionist about stuff, and can get stressed about situations, but she has really been more in control of her emotions since being on the diet. Since being on the diet she realizes how picky she is and that it is not normal, and she has really been trying her best to be patient and work things out. She has also been able to express her feelings better (she also has moderate expressive and receptive language disorder) since being on the diet. However, after she ate the satsuma she just did not seem to be in control of her body and mind.
