Guest guest
Now I am thoroughly convinced all afibbers need a sleep study. I just got mine from the doctor today: Results: Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea with significant associated oxygen desaturations and arousals. I was averaging 30 apneic events per hour consisting of a mixture of complete and partial airway obstructions with the longest lasting 20 seconds, and associated with oxygen desaturation to 83%. This can mean real trouble. Tachycardia, afib, heart attack, strokes, thombosis, even hypothyroidism. I've got a CPAP machine ordered and hopefully on it's way soon. I wonder what a good night's sleep will be like and if it will improve my health. Debbi, OU Alum in OKC
