Guest guest
Hi, - You've already gotten some shoulders to lean on, advice to stay out of hotels while you're glowing, and and in general to follow the advice of the nuclear med doctor over vague " hospital people " , all of which I totally agree with. As to how to speed up getting your RAI scan & treatment, hopefully there is someone who can step in and advocate for you, since being severely hypo can be too much of a disability, when equanimity and patience are required. Who told you that a bed isn't available? If it's not one of the doctors, I would get on the phone first thing in the morning, and explain the situation to them. First the nuclear med doctor, then the endo. If they hear a near hysterical patient who's close to losing it, they may miraculously find bed for you, especially if there's another hospital that CAN admit you promptly. If your doctors can't help you, perhaps the hospital's patient advocate can. OTOH, if the RAI isn't being delivered because of the snow, there may be little you can do about it. Good luck, be tough, and please keep us posted - NYC " " wrote: > I was supposed to go in tomorrow for my tracer dose, then in on > Friday for my scan.
