Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am new to this group and need some advice. I was originally diagnosed with thyroiditis and my endocrinologist said my thyroid levels were in the hyper range. I was tested for Graves' disease but did not have it. After a course of anti inflammatories, my thyroid went underactive and I was given Synthroid. I think they are having difficulties getting me on the right dosage, however. My major symptom complaint is that I have consistent trouble sleeping. That was always the main problem. My sleep is much better than it was originally, but I still have trouble falling asleep, or I'll wake up throughout the night, or I will wake up after 5-6 hours of sleep and then have trouble staying asleep or just not be able to fall back asleep at all. Currently, I am trying to get pregnant, so my doctor has me on medication to get my TSH between 1 and 2. I am currently taking 50mcg one day and 75mcg the next day. He said he doesn't want me to go any lower than what I am on now because of the pregnancy factor. But I am not sure if a lower or high dosage would help me sleep better? Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Thanks! K
