Guest guest
Hi, I am a 40 yr. old female...late 2004 I fell into a severe depression, lost hair, started gaining weight and had absolutely no energy. After being on anti-depressants for a few months a friend mentioned that I should have my thyroid checked(my doc. never thought to check). After I mentioned to my doc. that I wanted my thyroid checked sure enough the results came back that I was hypothyroid. Well it's been a year now...and I'm still not back to my normal self. My doc. is really busy and did not really provide much info or support. Needless to say I changed doctors and went in for a full examination and blood work last week. I should get the results back some time this week. At the moment I am taking 0.1mg Levothyroxine sodium. What kind of questions should I be asking my doctor and what steps should I be taking to improve my health...I'm married with 2 kids and very frustrated with myself. I think what is bothering me the most is that I feel like of lost all control...moody, tired and can't seem to get my weight under control...help...I'll appreciate any info. you can provide. Yahoo!
