Hi ,

When my daughter was on SCD for only a short while, we had to be careful even

with SCD legal foods. I am not an SCD expert but some of the stuff your

friend is eating might be a bit tough for a flare. I usually backed my daughter

up

in her diet, when their were problems. I didn't go all the way to intro but

did take her diet back to when things were fine. The Lacteze tablets are not

SCD legal and do contain things that would irritate. I would also not, for

us, eat green beans this early unless they were cooked to mush. Spinach and

asparagus can also be quite fibrous and might be better waiting with. We ate

cooked carrots and well cooked butternut squash endlessly. I made muffins and

pies with them as well as SCD cheesecake. Have you shown your friend the

legal/illegal list on Breaking the Vicious cycle? It took my daughter 10 months

before she cooked even eat fresh grapes. The yogurt always agreed with my

daughter

but some people have found it better to eat it in moderation in the

beginning. Is your friend seasoning her meat when she cooks it? It's best to

keep that

simple in the beginning, as well. Sometimes the smallest illegals would set

my daughter back in the beginning, even an illegal seasoning used in cooking.

Hope this isn't too much feedback and I am sure there are others with even

more suggestions.
