Good news... so far the ThyroPhoenix site has been renewed for the next

three months. Cuz we were having trouble getting stuff switched over from

our benefactor into my name (mostly cuz her computer is down and she

can't get in to get the password) she scraped up the money to cover us

one more quarter.. that will give us some time to set the rest up. She

has to get her machine fixed to get into the account and switch things,

it's still set up to auto pay out of her paypal account.

She's hoping that in the next week or so her machine will be up and we

can get it all done....

So far it's looking like donations will have to go through my paypal

account. I still want to do it through paypal cuz that way everyone can

send it without hassles on either end with checks and money orders and

such AND cuz paypal has such a great statement process for money in, and

from who, and money out, and to who..... So accountability will be there.

I've had the account three or four years and never used it....

The bad part is that it's a single owner account and not a non profit...

so there won't be that handy dandy donation button on the website...I'll

have to work on another way to do that... or just do a fund raiser in the

group as needed to cover costs.

So... the help offered is still needed.. to keep everything going and to

make some additions and beef stuff up. I don't want to stop helping... I

don't want to walk away and leave folks lost and alone.. I know.. there

are other groups and other sites... but... but.... I still want to

help....

Now.. while on the subject....

Expanding content on the site.... if anyone has seen something on the

site that they would like to contribute to... an existing page that they

have things that they'd like to add... or to finish some of the pages

that have been set up but not fleshed out.... Jump up and waive your

hand!!! Right now most of the stuff on the site was written by me.... I

think it would be beneficial to have some others adding content, too...

Two pages that I'd VERY much like to get finished are the ones on Grave's

and Thyroid Cancer... I don't have enough experience on those to feel

that I'd do them justice.

If any of you have websites of your own and would like to link to the

Phoenix site... let me know, the more folks that can access the site and

find that there are options other that being told to 'go home it's all in

your head' the better... and to do that we need to be seen.

Right now our visitor rate is about 30 a day, mostly from search engine

hits. Topics run the full gamut... from types of meds, to mini meals, to

dosing, to goitrogens, to multidosing, to labs, to treatments, to self

treating, to self monitoring, to support groups.... there is no one thing

that stands out that folks are looking for... they are just pretty much

typing in their problems and looking to find answers and help.

I want to do a tribute page for .. several folks have sent

suggestions for things to add.... It's been just really hard for me to

concentrate on.. it's hard to do. Every time I start to work on it I keep

thinking about all our future plans.. the group, the website, the

clinic.... and she wont' be around to see it, that I never made it down

to Texas to meet her in person. Anyway.. that's where I am with that...

still want to do it.. just have to be able to stop crying long enough to

see the screen.....
