Guest guest
Hey , That's cool!! Sometimes that's just what the body does for us, to rest before going down again. I know that's the LAST thing we want to hear, but it's true and at least you are ON the program and going downward. At times we are sure we lost and don't, then there are the times when we are sure we gained and didn't, so the body is a strange machine. I just had my annual physical/checkup exam and my doctor is overjoyed with my weight loss and with Weight Watchers!!!! I'm lifetime and had reached goal in 2001, then started gaining again and avoided the doctor last year, but now I'm back on the downward path for the final time and he's happy. He also likes Slim Fast too. This doctor was really logical about maintaining weeks and said not to worry because the body has to readjust itself and take a breather once in awhile as it goes down to make sure its getting enough to eat, so he also says that a 5 pound fluctuation is really not weight gain at all but daily body rhythms. Chin up and good luck with next week!!!! 's WI I maintained this week. I was sure that I had lost. Ah, well. 242.6 / 234.8 /

Guest guest
Thanks Sue, For saying congrats for being in onederland, even if it is unofficial for the moment. Some times it's NOT your fault if you are down .8 or have a slight gain or maintain--the body just does what it wants to some days or weeks and adjusts itself, no matter what you do or don't do. It's the long haul that we need to worry about the most, are we really changing the way we eat and think, etc.?? That is what is most important!! said earlier that hers has been up and down too over the long haul, some ups when the water retention hits and then downs maybe the next week or the week after that. Over the long haul, she's down a huge amount but every week is not created equally--at least for most of us that's probably NOT the case. I know that for me it's not a steady downward spiral every single week, but I do see sort of pattern like 's emerging where I'll lost 3 or so and then maybe two the next week, then have a maintain or a slight loss like ..5 or so--it's discouraging because it's lopsided but for my body I have to realize that it's what it does and I can't hurry it along one way or the other no matter what I try. I guess what I'm saying is that as long as we are on it and doing the right things, the weight will come off in our own time. Re: 's WI Weigh to go . I am so jealous I'm only down .8 this week but that's my own fault. Sue

Guest guest
Going to jump in here for a minute - hope you don't mind. Have you tried the 's Classic Tomato Soup to go? Just heat in the microwave for 1 - 1 1/2 min, stir, drink. Only 2 points per can. That will give you some nutition. Or how about FF Chicken and/or Beef broth. Heat in microwave, the warmth will help sooth your throat and still give you low point nutrition. How about some warm tea with a teaspoon of honey. Good to sooth throats that are scratchy. And also remember that you can crush FF crackers in broth to make swallowing easier, this will help you from being so hungry. You could also try some chili w/o a lot of ground beef. Just some ideas. Hope you get better soon. Sue - Indiana
