Guest guest
Mom got her last drain out yesterday. In 2 wks they are going to start filling her implant where the did the reconstruction. Her wounds are healing well. She still goes to the oncologist on the 28th. So far so good. I guess that is when we find out about the chemo end of the deal right? I've been told by several people that once she starts the chemo that all these massive dr visits will slow down. I hope so. They are wearing us out. Its back to wishy washy again. Everytime we try to save time and gas and schedule double appts it never works out that way. One dr always calls right before we go and has to reschedule. Its aggravating on both of us. We cant plan anything these days. With it being a holiday wk we have missed out on alot because of timing. We pretty much new with moms surgery being so wishy washy that our holiday plans would be too. It stinks though, its taken our holiday spirit away some. We really dont have any plans for Christmas. That is not like us at all. Thanksgiving wasnt much better. We all slept thru it pretty much because moms surgery was supposed to be Thanksgiving wk so we didnt plan anything since she was supposed to be in the hospital. We are supposed to visit sister some sunday though. The holidays just arent the same this yr. We still have a little hope though, my parents 40th anniversary is New Years Eve. Then hopefully she will be strong enough to feel like doing something if she hasnt started chemo by then. Hope you all have a safe, happy holiday!
