There are a lot of things that can cause this. Probably the most common are

sinus or ear infections, and some viruses. Sometimes it's the only symptom

you'll have, or you may have some other things like fatigue, swollen glands,

low-grade fever, etc. Lots of other things can cause it too tho. If it

happens again I would try to see the dr.

Glad you are feeling better now!

YUCK. I have had this twice, which was twice too many, in my life.

I have a friend with Meniere's and she has to deal with this fairly

frequently. It's awful! I'm so glad you are starting to feel

better. When I had this the doc did give me something for it, but it

was so long ago I cannot recall what it is. My friend uses

scopalamine patches (rx) for her vertigo and that allows her to

function reasonably well during attacks. Best of luck

oh i did see the doctor! he gave no reason - i understand it's a bit of a

guessing game if there is no ear or sinus problem as to why it happens. he did

give me scrip for an anti nauseant (sp?) which i didn't bother filling as i was

feeling abit better by that point. the nausea wasn't really my biggest worry

though - if i could get the world to stop spinning i knew the nausea would

subside. thanks sara!

Have you had your ears checked? Don't ear infections sometimes do this?
