Well, according to my scale I've gained all of the weight back that I lost in

early pregnancy (12 pounds). I'm back up to 158 now and am 21 weeks pregnant.

My net gain for the pregnancy is now 0 pounds. My OB is thrilled and says I

should continue at about 1 pound a week gain until the baby is born. My problem

is that I feel like all I do all day long is eat. I have been so hungry! The

OB says that is my body telling me to feed it so I need to listen to it. Well,

at about 12 weeks gestation is when the hunger started. I hadn't been hungry up

to that point since my surgery. All of this leads me to wonder: Will the

hunger go back down after the baby is born or will I continue to be hungry all

the time?

PS: this is not a hunger " pang " , but a low sugar type feeling that makes me feel

as though I need to eat in order to function. I grab cheese and crackers, nuts,

a protein bar, or something else with protein when the feeling hits. I steer

clear of sugar when it occurs as it just makes me feel worse.
