Guest guest
I have that problem to... it usually comes from being slightly dehydrated but there is excellent mouthwash & toothpaste you can use. I used to have such dry mouth that occasionally my gums would bleed. Biotene is what it is called and they work great. I use them and they kind of create a moisture barrier in your mouth. They work wonderfully. andrea Dry mouth at night I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with extremely dry mouth at night. Guest guest
Hi, I'm not sure if this applys: with this being winter I am having to put Vaseline lip balm on my lips just before I hit the sack and it keeps the lips moist and helps with the dry mouth. I also make sure, now, that I drink a lot of water during the day to keep myself hydrated...pitter the water off by 7 or 8 pm so that I don't have a full bladder midway though the night. One other thought comes to mind....do you sleep with your mouth open? Do you sleep with a humidifier going in the room or in the house...this of course would counteract the drying heat from the furnace or heater. Guest guest
I really grease up my lips with vaseline before I go to bed. I also have a bottle of water on my nightstand. When I wake up I am so parched. I think I drink enough during the day, but maybe not. I don't think I sleep with my mouth open. I'll have to ask my boyfriend about that. This could just be another of my growing list of menopausal issues. Thanks everyone.. > > > > I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with extremely dry mouth > > at night. Guest guest
I do... intermittently... seems to have a few causes, for me... when the room air is too dry when I'm over tired and sleeping slack jawed, I'll have drool on my chin those mornings! if I've been drinking soda and not enough water It was worse when I was taking Synthroid... it's better, less often, and easier to find a direct cause for now that I'm using natural and have my dose higher. I always carry my water jar with me... I used to have a mug, but I dropped it and now use my jar.... anyway... I carry it with me from room to room, setting it on the night stand over night, so that water is always within reach. I have a couple different bottles that I carry water in when I'm out of the house, again, making sure that I'm always sipping at it... Guest guest
heh used to get mad at me because I would stash bottles of water all over the house, even in the bathroom lol. I would have 1/2 drank bottles everywhere. Ahh the good old days. I still have lots of bottles... I always have a bottle in close reach.
