Guest guest
This is just so wonderful! Jacquie H WE'RE TALKING!!! My sweet, autistic, special little boy is FINALLY saying words more than once, and trying oh so hard to say more and more every day! He was on X-mas break, and I expected regression in his behavior etc., because that is very common in autistics when they are out of their routine for extended periods of time. Well, he showed us. During the 2 weeks off, he starting saying " up " , book (without the k), and more (without the r), and appropriately. One time, when climbing on daddy, he said " up more " . Well, when I get to school to pick him up today, they tell me he said " bye " spontaneously when people left the room. On the way home, he was looking at the light poles and I said, yes, they're up high aren't they? and he said " up high " . When my MIL was giving him a bath, I don't know what he did, but she told him to say " I did it " and HE DID!!! Then, when he was ready for bed, he came up to me, laid his hands on my arm and said " mum-mum " and then signed bed. I just can't believe the progress he's made in 2 weeks. It's just amazing. He's said a few words before, but then NEVER repeated them again. I just had to share. :-) ellen --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
